We are invited by the Jalaram Mandir in Greenford, London to talk about prostate cancer. This is a special place for me as it was here that I got married. And Jalaram Bapa is special to me as he spent his life serving the people. Jalaram Bapa was a Hindu saint from Gujarat, India. He was born on 4 November 1799, one week after the Hindu festival of Diwali, His work ethos of serving the community continues to this day and it just happens that my talk was also on Indian Independence Day.
The people at the temple do wonderful work serving the local community and feeding the homeless every week in central London. May their great work continue.
