Fighting Prostate Cancer returned to Shrewsbury for another community clinic, continuing its work to bring prostate health awareness and clinical support closer to men. The visit followed the previous Shrewsbury clinic in October 2025.

The earlier event, held in partnership with the Shrewsbury Freemasons, marked the campaign’s 61st community screening clinic. Led by Dr Jyoti Shah and the Fighting Prostate Cancer team, the campaign combines information, PSA testing and advice about further assessment where needed.

At the heart of this approach is a simple ambition: to make conversations about prostate health easier. By offering services in familiar community settings rather than relying solely on hospital visits, the campaign aims to reduce anxiety and encourage men to seek advice.

Since beginning at Burton Albion Football Club in 2016, Fighting Prostate Cancer has taken its outreach to football grounds, community centres, places of worship and Freemasons’ lodges. Its work brings together clinical colleagues, volunteers and local organisations to support prostate cancer awareness.

The return to Shrewsbury adds another chapter to that community outreach. Men concerned about their own prostate health can find information through the campaign and speak to their GP about whether a PSA test is appropriate.
